FERTILIZATION IN GREENHOUSES

Higher-yield growth

Fertilization in greenhouses

HIGHER-YIELD GROWTH

Greenhouses are designed to grow plants faster and thereby increase yield. This is where carbon dioxide comes into play: The gas is used to enrich the atmosphere in greenhouses, enabling the plants to withstand higher, growth-promoting temperatures without impairing the quality of the crops. This is more beneficial than other fertilization methods because the gas introduces no additional moisture into the greenhouses. That’s also advantageous in the cultivation of tomatoes and peppers, for example.
